Katy Perry schedules her first post-split public appearance

The show must go on even when youre going through a heartbreaking divorce. Katy Perry has confirmed that her first public appearance since the news of her marriage breakdown was revealed will be at an American awards do on 11 January.

The Teenage Dream singer will appear at the Peoples Choice Awards show in Los Angeles, although it hasnt been confirmed if shell perform or if shell just be in the audience. One thing is certain though all eyes will be on Katy to see how she is currently holding up.

Katy has plenty of chances to go home with an gong at the Peoples Choice Awards as shes nominated in several categories. Shes up for Favourite Female Artist, Favourite Pop Artist, Favourite Tour Headliner, Favourite Song Of The Year for E.T, Favourite Animated Movie Voice for The Smurfs and Favourite TV Guest Star for her appearance on How I Met Your Mother.
