Katy Perry parties while Russell Brand spends New Years alone

Soon-to-be-divorced couple Russell Brand and Katy Perry celebrated the New Year in very different ways Russ spent the evening alone while Katy partied with a mystery man in Hollywood.

A downcast Russell saw in the New Year at The Savoy in London, he watched his beloved football team West Ham lose 2-1 to Derby and stayed in his room, He wasnt up for celebrating and just ordered food to his room. The next morning he was in the gym from 11am and spent two hours there, a source tells The Mirror.

While Russ working out he told a fellow hotel guest who was wished him a Happy New Year, Heres hoping it gets better.

Dancing and flirting

Meanwhile, Katy Perry was over in Hollywood and spent her New Years Eve at a party at private members club Soho House, where she was spotted having fun with a mystery man. She seemed to be in a great mood, she was dancing and laughing, an onlooker has told New York Post, [they were] dancing, twirling round and holding hands.

Katy and Russell announced that they are to divorce after just 14 months of marriage on 30 December. Sad times.
