Katy Perry - Russell Brand Uninvited From People's Choice Awards Due To Perry Divorce

RUSELL BRAND uninvited from any ceremony is always sure to spark the headlines, but this time it was his split from starlet Katy Perry that has left tongues wagging. Their recent split has left Russell Brand uninvited from the People's Choice Awards in LA on January 11th (2012) to avoid a confrontation with her.

Perry who is up for seven awards, including Favourite Female Artist, will be making her first public appearance after Brand filed for divorce after just 14 months together. According to The Mirror, a source said: 'It will be Katy's big night, a prelude to the Grammys, and now Russell has been strangely left off the list of attendees for the high-profile event. It was always going to be awkward for organisers in any case after their shock decision to split. But in order to avoid any awkwardness or confrontation Russ is no longer on the list.'

The couple had married in October 2010 but rumours soon sparked about Russell's desire to start a family even though they were barely seeing each other due to conflicting schedules. Other sources suggest otherwise with one telling American magazine US Weekly that Brand was unhappy with Perry's partying ways: 'Katy was kinky enough during their first times together and he was very attracted to her. When things got bad, if they got a roll in the hay, they were always better after.' After having spent Christmas 7000 miles apart, with Katy in Hawaii and Russell in Cornwall, Russell finally filed for divorce the day before New Year's Eve.
