Katy Perry to join American Idol?
American Idol bosses have "put out feelers" to see if Katy Perry would like to be involved in the show.
At the moment Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson are judges on the TV singing competition.
Lopez is yet to commit to a new series, with claims she might take time off to focus on her tour and family life.
It's rumoured that bosses have contacted Perry to see if she would like to take over Lopez's post.
"They've already put out feelers to Katy's camp, and there definitely is interest," an insider told National Enquirer.
Lopez is rumoured to be paid between US$12 and US$20 million a year for her stint on the show. Last year she reportedly got a pay rise to encourage her to stay, but those running the programme don't want that to happen again.
It's thought they have told her she will not get an increase for 2013 and also needs to commit to the show fully within the next few weeks.
Katy Perry previously acted as a stand-in judge for the UK version of The X Factor, where she impressed the audience and critics.
