Katy Perry To Make Country-Inspired Album Following Split From Brand?

Splitting up from your husband is always a difficult time but it seems Katy Perry will be using her heartache as inspiration for her new album.

The 'Part Of Me' singer, who split from Russell Brand last year, wants to ditch her raunchy style in favour of a country image.

Ive always wanted to make something like an acoustic record,'' Perry told The Sun.

My favourite record is Patty Griffins Flaming Red. I discovered it when I was in Nashville.

She added: I definitely want to do a Patty Griffin-esque thing at some point. Its something that Im really excited about because I know I can do it and I havent really played that card yet.
