Katy Perry Reveals 3D Concert Movie Name, Release Date
Pop star Katy Perry announced that her 3D concert movie will be released in time for the 4th of July holiday.
The singer broke the news on the red carpet at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday, telling E! correspondent and pal Kelly Osbourne that it will be called Katy Perry: Part of Me. Though she didn't reveal the exact date, only that it would be around the holiday, Perry encouraged fans togo and see it and be a firework, in reference to her own No. 1 hit song "Firework."

As previously reported by THR, Magical Elves are in talks to direct the movie, which will show Perrys life on and off the stage, all in 3D. Although Elves executives Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitzare primarily known for their work in reality TV (among their shows are Project Runway andTop Chef), they were also producers for the well-received Justin Bieber 3D concert documentary, Never Say Never.
Wearing what looked like a slime green sports bra, matching skirt and her (still) blue hair in a side pony tail for her Kids Choice arrival, she later changed into a metallic outfit to complement a diamond-shaped shield she carried during her medieval-themed performance of "Part Of Me," complete with thrones, monarchs, candelabras, dancers in Victorian garb and a guillotine.

Big winners at the Nickelodeon event included Big Time Rush, who won for favorite music group, Selena Gomez! strong> for favorite TV actress and favorite female singer and Justin Bieber for favorite male singer. Perry was also recognized for work on the movie The Smurfs, winning favorite voice from an animated movie The Smurfs). "The only reason why I'm still here today is because I've never grown up," she said from the stage before teasing, "I can't wait to doSmurfs 2."
