Did Katy Perry Make a Coachella Love Connection?

But, now we're wondering if she also showed off her new boyfriend! The singer was seen holding the hand of Robert Ackroyd, a guitarist for Florence + the Machine, last Sunday and there's even picture proof!

Now, we know: Holding hands in the desert doesn't exactly mean they're going to live happily ever after. It doesn't even mean the two are dating. Maybe she was just making sure he didn't get lost. Or her hand was cold. Or he has really soft skin. Anyway, an unnamed source added some color to the story by claiming: "Backstage at the Artist Lounge at Coachella last weekend, Katy kept saying her boyfriend was the guitar player for Florence + the Machine. She and a bunch of friends were supposed to go see Dr. D! re t ogether, but Katy said she was waiting to watch her boyfriend perform!"

Plus, it seems as though Ackroyd boasted a bit about spending quality time with the pop star. "Best Coachella ever. Scratch that, best weekend ever. Dre, Snoop, Pac, Nate, Fiddy & KP," he tweeted. Naturally, "KP" stands for "Katy Perry." And, if there's really nothing going on between them, why would he try to be sly and use her initials, huh?

No word from either camp on the love connection, or what happened to the last guy Perry was rumored to be seeing. She spent some quality time with model Baptiste Giabiconi in Paris and London a few weeks back, but she seems to have left him in Europe.
