Katy Perry kissed a sailor at a concert on Friday (April 20).

The 'Part of Me' singer performed at a naval academy in Maryland, where she pulled a sailor from the audience on stage. Despite Perry suffering from a fever, the officer agreed to lock lips with her, WENN reports.

The sailor, who said that his name was Officer Beasley, revealed that he was 20 years old when asked by Perry, who promptly responded: "Is this legal? Well I'm a little bit older than you, but that's alright - I can be your Mrs Robinson.

"Now Beasley, listen," she went on to say to him. "I have to warn you, if I told you I had a cold, if I told you I flew here with a 101.8 degree temperature, would you still be alright with [kissing me]?"

The two then recreated the iconic 1945 VJ Day picture in which a sailor tipped back a girl and kissed her in Times Square.

Perry later shared a picture of the event on Twitter, posting: "Played for some Navy guys & gals tonight. I think my fever broke on stage from all the sea-men..."

The 27-year-old is set to perform on American Idol this week.
