According to UKs The Sun, Katy Perry is about to ditch her recent promise to make real dark music. Instead, it seems that the singer is considering going country.

The tabloid quotes Katy as saying: My favourite record is Patty Griffins Flaming Red. I discovered it when I was in Nashville. I definitely want to do a Patty Griffin-esque thing at some point. Its something that Im really excited about because I know I can do it and I havent really played that card yet.
