The last 12 months have been something of a rollercoaster for Katy Perry, but the singer capped it all off by being crowned Woman of the Year by Billboard Magazine.

The last year has seen her divorce funny man Russell Brand, embark on a new relationship with John Mayer and release her film: Katy Perry: Part of Me.

So were not surprised when she told the magazine that: Im glad Im still alive- 27 has been a very testing year.

The singer turned 28 in October, but after winning the prestigious award things are definitely looking up for the star.
