It was the first time the couple have taken their romance public following months of speculation and looked pretty loved up up on the red carpet for a performance of 'A Christmas Story: The Musical'.
They even took John's father along to the event now that means it's serious!

According to Us Weekly, despite his lothario reputation Mayer was a perfect gentleman, with Katy introducing her as her boyfriend, an eyewitness said: "You would think he was just a supportive boyfriend,"
"He let her be the star."
Despite claims of a split in September the pair looked more loved up than ever and it seems Mayer has finally turned over a new leaf and is ready to settle down.
The insider added: "John has always thought Katy was really sexy," "He loves curvy girls."
