Katy Perry 'Flees London Club To Avoid Russell'

Katy Perry is said to have fled a London nightclub after hearing a rumour that her soon-to-be-ex hubby Russell Brand was due to attend the venue.
According to The Metro, the Part Of Me singer was partying with pals and enjoying a night of karaoke in a Las Vegas themed private room - usually reserved for Prince Harry - at Mayfair hotspot Mahiki, before she abruptly left.
The newspaper claims that her 30-strong entourage informed the US babe that they'd heard a rumour Russell was on his way to the club, resulting in Katy doing a runner.
A source explained: "She wanted to spend the night singing in the room as it's where her best mate Rihanna normally comes to play when she's in town.
"Katy was having a great night but bolted out the door when one of her sidekicks stunned her by telling her Russ was about to turn up."
They added: "Rather than risk an awkward run-in, Katy didn't take any chances and ordered everyone to move on to a club in Chelsea instead."
While the Teenage Dream star may be doing her best to avoid Russell, The Sun claims Brand invited his mum Barbara to Los Angeles to meet his new girlfriend - where they spent all of Friday (16th March) getting to know each other.
A source told the tabloid: "Russell and his mum are extremely close. She's always the f! irst per son he calls when something happens.
"Barbara is very fond of Katy Perry but was interested in meeting the woman who is helping Russell through such a difficult time."
It's been a tough week for Russell after he was arrested and charged with criminal damage after throwing a photographer's iPhone through a law firm's window in New Orleans.
The Get Him To The Greek actor was later bailed for $5,000, with reports suggesting he could face deportation back to Britain if a judge finds him guilty of the felony.
Brand is said to have hired top New Orleans lawyer Robert Glass to argue his case that the 36-year old comedian was 'provoked' by the snapper when he saw red.
