The British comic, 36, first submitted papers on Dec. 30 of last year in a move that blindsided "Firework" singer Perry, 27.

Married for 14 months (they wed on an Indian tiger sanctuary in October 2010), the quirky former couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, Us Weekly has previously confirmed.

Yet TMZ claims that Brand, although he could be entitled to 50% of Perry's massive earnings during their brief union, will not seek any of Perry's money. "This divorce is as amicable as it gets," one source told TMZ.

Perry earned $44 million between May 2010 and May 2011, according to Forbes.
