A dog's life for Katy Perry and celeb pooch Uggie

The I Kissed A Girl singer shared the snap with her Twitter pals, along with the message: "Catch of the day! Uggie from The Artist."

Silent black and white flick The Artist is tipped to bag several gongs at tonight's Academy Awards after proving a surprise hit.

And leading man Jean Dujardin put the film's success down to its four-legged star.

He said recently: "It's a feel-good movie and a love story, not just a black and white silent movie.

"It's a new visual and emotional experience for the audience.

"And there's a cute dog. Everybody loves a cute dog."

And celeb pooch Uggie has already lined up a showbiz romance with a Hollywood A-lister.

Owner Owen Van Muller recently revealed the celeb pooch has the hots for his Water For Elephants co-star, Reese Witherspoon.

He admitted: "They worked together and he just wanted to kiss her every time. He's in love with Reese."
