Katy Perry: Part Of Me doesn't give much away about the pop star

In scenes as convincing as those from TOWIE, Perry weeps in her Brazilian dressing room while her minions offer to call the gig off, then blubs mere metres from the stage before deciding the show must go on. What a trouper.

The real story here why a teenage Perry rebelled against her preacher parents to pursue pop-stardom in LA isnt explored in much detail.

Instead, we get a succession of employees and relatives musing, for example, that Perry is a voice of a generation (what?) intercut with her hoofing it up on stage in light-up frocks.

By the end, we are none the wiser as to what makes Perry tick. This might be part of her but shes not giving much away.
