Katy Perry Has A Thing For Floor-Length Florals

Katy Perry has forged a fashion reputation of being predictably unpredictable. A quick mental ransacking of KPs sartorial history recalls, among other things, spandex, HOTT pants, transient hair styles, cupcake purses, retro pin-up girl/Rosie the Riveter homages, a BATTERY PACK or two, and blizzards of sparkle, sprinkle, furbelow, and fluff. Despite the general glitterbomb that is Katy Perry's style evolution, we MIGHT *pump the brakes* be sensing a bit of a calm! As of late, the candy-coated "California Gurls" songstress has been committed to a slightly more refined, floor-length floral look. Not exactly business as usual, amirite?
Ever since Katy showed up to the 2012 VMA red carpet in a dazzling sheer Elie Saab Couture gown, she's been fearlessly recycling this floral motif on AND off the step-and-repeat. Such dedication to Kingdom Plantae, we might add, is especially ambitious for this time of year. November isn't exactly a green season, nah mean? In the same breath, it's worth adding that even though we fully support Katy's affinity for hair dye, we love that she's consistently accompanied the look with loose black locks and a *achem* relatively understated beauty game.
