Katy Perry's Parents 'Prefer John Mayer' To Russell Brand?

We imagine that's gotta sting a bit for Russell.
According to a source at Hollywood Life, it seems as if Ma and Pa Perry are just as smitten with John Mayer as Katy Perry is, comparing his placid personality to Russell's... well, Russell's LESS placid personality:
Katys parents also really like John. They prefer him over Russell. They thought Russell was too temperamental.
We can see how they'd come to that opinion, we suppose.
The source went on to explain that Katy, back with John, is happier than she's ever been before - and even hinted at a musical collaboration in the near future:
