Katy Perry And John Mayer Engaged? Couple Reportedly Checked Out Wedding Venues After Whirlwind Romance
Splash NewsAre Katy Perry and John Mayer heading down the aisle? Well that's what an insider has told a British magazine, claiming that Mayer believes the 'Firework' star is 'the one' and is itching to make it official.
The couple have been dating for the past few months and were recently spotted looking loved up on a visit to Katy's hometown of Santa Barbara, where they stopped by the Old Mission church. But it wasn't just a cultural visit, a source told Look magazine that 35 year-old thinks it would be the perfect wedding venue.
"John's talked about Katy being 'The One' ever since their first date," a source told the mag, "He suggested they visit the wedding venue because he's always thought Santa Barbara would be the perfect place to get married. He told Katy he wouldn't want a big blowout, but would love the idea of wearing tails with a top hat!"
He was also talking about how incredible Katy would look in a Vera Wang dress."
It would be the second time the 'Part Of Me' star has walked down the aisle, following her 14 month marriage to Russell Brand, though the alleged friend reckons in her, eyes marrying John would be the perfect traditional wedding.
"Her wedding to Russell wasn't her dream at all - it was his.
They explained: He wanted the over-the-top Hindu ceremony in India, with the elephant. It was all very exciting and fun, like Russ, but it just wasn't for her. Katy wants a traditional wedding with a big white dress."
They've only been dating a few months, but the insider insists they're serious about a future together: "It's all happening so quickly, but Katy's so happy with John. It's very much the fairytale."
Katy has spoken openly of the ch! ances of her re-marrying and in an interview with Elle magazine, said she'd let love be her guide. "I'm a woman who likes to be courted strongly," she revealed of her dating type.
"Never say never, I guess you'd say, when asked if she would marry again, Ill let love take the lead on that."
But did it lead her to John?
The couple haven't even confirmed they're dating let alone engaged, so we've got to wait and see with this one!
