Russell Brand 'unfollow's' Katy Perry on Twitter

Russell Brand and Katy Perry are already on the road to finalizing their divorce, but today Brand put an end to their Twitter relationship by unfollowing his soon-to-be ex-wife.

According to E! News the social media breakup took place this afternoon when Brand finally stopped following his ex. Brand, who goes by the Twitter handle @RustyRockets, has 4.6 million followers. He, on the other hand, follows only 77.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor and Part of Me songstress married back in 2010 in a lavish ceremony in India. After a slew of rumors, the pair filed for divorce in December.

Perry is now attached, unofficially, to Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd. The duo were first spotted back in April during Coachella.

A source tells Us Weekly that Perry and Ackroyd are having a fabulous time...It's cute puppy love!"

E! reports that it took Brand four months to make the decision to unfollow Perry, whereas she opted to unfollow her ex as soon as the divorce was filed in December.
