Katy Perry was not afraid to go makeup-free in new 3-D movie (Video)
Katy Perrys new documentary concert film, Katy Perry: Part of Me, not only shows what goes into putting together a concert, but also gives fans a personal look into the life of Katy Perry, including her religious upbringing and her marriage. Willing to show her normal side, she wasnt afraid to be seen on camera without all her makeup on.
There's a lot of me bloated, with zits, fat, not shaded, not carved, not snatched, just normal, she told MTV News last week, explaining that she wanted the film to show pop stars arent perfect.
"It's the most intimate I've ever been. I mean that in a non-sexual way...I mean it in a vulnerable way, she said. And so I'm not scared of it because I think it's important for me, and important these days, for people to not think people in my position are perfect and that if they want to achieve this type of dream or achieve a goal that they have to be flawless, they don't."
Perrys new concert film wont be released in theaters until July 5, but fans got a glimpse of makeup-free, normal Katy Perry in the films trailer. She has, however, been seen without makeup before, all thanks to ex-husband Russell Brand. He posted a half-asleep, makeup-free photo of the singer on Twitter last year. At that time, according to The Daily Mail, she wasnt too happy about people seeing her natural appearance.
