Katy Perry heads to Disneyland following split from John Mayer

Whats one way to get over a breakup? Head to The Happiest Place on Earth, of course.

Katy Perry was recently left heartbroken after she and John Mayer, who she only dated a few months, broke it off. The Wide Awake singer is not letting herself get too down, though, she headed to Disneyland this weekend.

Today I am promised happiness. Let's do this! the 27-year-old tweeted on Saturday.

Accompanied by a friend, Katy seemed to enjoy herself. She later tweeted a photo from the Club 33 restaurant peeking over the menu wearing Mickey Mouse ears.

Why, yes! WE will dine with you, Walt! she wrote.

A trip to Disneyland may have been just what Katy needed. According to reports, although they dated briefly, the breakup with John Mayer ended in bitterness.

"John did a real number on Katy," said a source, according to The Daily Mail She held off from his advances for the longest time, but he laid on the charm thick and promised her he was a changed man. She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then - yep - once he had made his conquest, he dumped her.

At least Mickey Mouse had her smiling this weekend.
