Katy Perry talks about her new fragrance, Meow

Katy Perry is releasing her second fragrance, a "sister fragrance" to her first scent, Purr, called Meow, later this month, exclusively at Nordstrom stores.

The 27-year-old The One That Got Away singer, who considers Gwen Stefani one of her influences when it comes to creating products, because she is a woman who puts out quality products associated with her name" and is never shoving it down anyone's throats, announced the new fragrances name, Meow, after a Twitter contest for her fans last month.

The singer who described her first fragrance as basically me in a bottle, says the new scent was inspired by candy and California, thanks to her California Dreams Tour.

"Purr to me was a little bit more floral, and Meow is a little bit more sweet, she told Womens Wear Daily. It was probably because of the California Dreams tour that it was more of the confectionery world, because everything I've seen for the last year has been like cotton-candy scented or huge peppermints or massive gummy bears."
