Katy Perrys latest video for The One That Got Away premiered on Friday, and according to the singer the 11-11-11 date wasnt just considered lucky for the singer, the date also held a different, special meaning as well.
11-11-11 is very special for me, she told Ellen DeGeneres when the video made its world television premiere on her talk show on Friday. Ive had five number ones and [Im] hoping this will be the sixth, and thats all the 1s added up, so well see.
Katy Perry is the second artist, and the first female artist to earn five no.1 hits on the Billboard charts from a single album. She currently ties The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who had five Billboard no.1 hits from his album Bad.
Katy Perrys Teenage Dream earned her top hits with California Gurls, which stayed on top for six weeks, Teenage Dream, which spent two weeks on top, Firework, which spent four weeks on top, E.T. which stayed on top for five weeks, and her most recent hit before The One That Got Away, Last Friday Night, which hit no.1 in July.
For now, the video for Perrys potential sixth hit is already a winner among her fans.
