Katy Perry Signs $2 Million Book Deal

Not only did Katy Perry star in her own documentary but the singer is also about to be the subject of an autobiography. Do we really need a book about Katy Perry? Is there much left to learn? Hmm, anywaythe singer reportedly earned $2 million for her book.

The news comes on the heels of Russell Brands own book deal. He will reportedly address the divorce in memoir, a follow up to My Booky Wook.

Perry has reportedly agreed to tackle the subject head on, but it will hardly be the first time shes publicly discussed the breakup. Katy Perry: Part of Me, the singers 3-D concert movie, featured a one-sided account of the divorce that framed Brand as the one who wasnt willing to put in the time and travel required to keep the marriage strong.

Its also rumored that Perry will address her relationship with John Mayer in the book. The two singers have been dating for some time now, and things are reportedly quite serious.

Why would she put John Mayer in her book? Theyre just dating. I realize it might be serious, but why would you include a boyfriend in an autobiography? I cant imagine ever wanting to read this book. Ill just wait for the quotes.
