Splash NewsKaty Perry and John Mayer's relationship may have been doubted by many, but it seems like the pair are still going strong and choosing to keep their romance on the down low, as they were recently spotted on a hiking double date with pals Girls star Allison Williams and boyfriend Ricky Van Veen.
Engagement rumours have surrounded the showbiz couple for a while now and it seems like their relationship just seems to improve, as Katy was even spotted placing her hand on her guitarist beau's derriere as they hiked around the Hollywood hills yesterday, according to the Mail Online.
John also took a second to wrap his arm around his 28 year old girlfriend and they continued to hold hands throughout their trek.
The pair opted for a more low key look, donning workout gear, with Katy wearing a tight, white tank and athletic leggings whereas John went for baggy black pants, teamed with a printed tee and bandana.
Double date buddies Ricky and Allison also dressed down for the occasion and the four of them seemed to be having a ball, smiling and laughing in multiple snapshots.
Allison was even the Firework singer's date for the 2013 Grammys in February at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. "She's the hottest date," Allison said on Anderson Cooper's show.
"She's the best," she added.

Meanwhile, it seems like Katy and John may be ready to take their relationship to the next level, with sources suggesting that the pair are already planning an 'intimate wedding.'
Katy and John want to have a really intimate traditional ceremony with only their closest friends and family. Theyre both from fairly traditional families and dont want a big party, a source told British Grazia.
They had so much fun when they visited her hometown that Katy and John have both agreed it would make sense to do it there. They loved San Ysidro because its so private and peaceful with amazing scenery.
The source continued, Katy always swore she wouldnt rush into marriage again, but they get on so well and she really thinks hes changed. His friends cant believe how much she has tamed him, and Katys parents absolutely adore him.
