Katy Perry looks totally unrecognisable without make-up during recording session

Katy Perry is no stranger to piling on the slap for shows and red carpet events, but we really didn't expect her to look this different without make-up.

The Part Of Me singer has been busy recording new music - presumably more songs about her divorce from Russell Brand and some shenanigans about dating John Mayer - and obvs wasn't going to get all dressed up for the studio.

But we almost didn't recognise her when she tweeted this snap of herself pulling a funny face early this morning.

Sipping on an energy drink and clearly feeling the 'all-nighter' burn, Katy decided to leave her mascara at home and kept things casual in a tracks! uit.

She told her followers: "This studio session has just taken a turn."

And despite the silly face/lack of blusher, Katy still managed to look amazing - which is probably why her milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

Regardless, Katy has been keeping her head down recently, only showing her face for Obama's inauguration and a random appearance on The Ellen Show (where she dressed up like a man).

Meanwhile, Russell has been chatting rather openly about Katy, revealing more about her 'lady parts' than we thought we'd ever need to know.

After mentioning said parts, he told radio host Howard Stern: "That woman was perfect from top to bottom."
