Obama fundraiser Sunday with Katy Perry, Bon Jovi to snarl traffic

President Obama's star-studded fundraising concert Sunday at Nokia Theater -- with the likes of Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder and Katy Perry -- is expected to snarl traffic in the area.

The president is expected to arrive Sunday to attend several functions, Los Angeles police said in a statement. Details were not available, but police said his motorcade would move through the Westside on Sunday afternoon, with temporarystreet closures.

In late afternoon, the motorcade will travel to downtown Los Angeles for more events, with potential brief closures along the 10 Freewayand streets aroundL.A. Live and Nokia Theatre, police said.

Early Monday there could be more street closures in the Beverly Hills and Westside areas as the president departs Southern California. The following streets may be affected:

Sunday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.:Pico Boulevard betweenOverland Avenue and Beverly Drive;Avenue of the Stars betweenOlympic and Sunset boulevards; andSunset betweenBeverly Glen and Doheny Drive.

Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.:Sunset Boulevard betweenBeverly Glen and Doheny Drive; North Whittier Drive betweenSunsetand Santa Monica boulevards.

Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.:Avenue of the Stars between Wilshire and Pico Boulevards;Motor Avenue betweenPico and the 10 Freeway; streets around L.A. Live and Nokia Theatre.

Sunday from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.: Motor Avenue between National and Pico boulevards; Avenue of the Stars between Pico and Santa Monica boulevards.

Monday7 to 9 a.m.:Avenue of the Stars between Santa Monica and Pico boulevards.
