Katy Perry Rules Out American Idol Judging Job, Says It's 'Not Right' For Her

If you were hoping to see Katy Perry joining American Idol when the show returns next year, you're going to be very disappointed following Katy's admission that a role on the show is "not right" for her at the moment.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' star, who stood in as a guest judge on the X Factor UK in 2010, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she has been approached but has decided not to commit to a show like American Idol.

The star said: "People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it's not right for me yet.

"It's a real commitment to be on one of those shows I have ideas for two or three big, creative things, and I want to be able to fulfil those ideas."

Whilst Katy might be hesitant in joining American Idol, Adam Lambert, who has also been linked to the role of a judge on the show, said that he would be "thrilled" to do it.
