Mobile Game Debut for Katy Perry Track

Katy Perry's latest single "Firework" is coming to mobile phones via a special branded version of the popular Tap Tap Revenge franchise. Fans can download the game to listen to the tune free of charge for a week before the song's radio debut.
What's novel about this approach is that the game is sponsored by Microsoft's Bing search engine, carrying the snappy title "Katy Perry Revenge by Bing." In addition to naming rights, the Bing engine is embedded in the game so users can search for lyrics to Perry's songs and find other information.
According to Tap Tap Revenge developer Tapulous, recently acquired by Disney Mobile, this is the first time the firm has created a sponsored app in this fashion, but plans to do more going forward.See also: "Microsoft's Search Ally: Facebook"
